Whisker Menu doesn't have option to remove tabs (namely "Recently Used" and "Favorites"), including in ~/.config/xfce4/panel/whiskermenu-1.rc

You can get rid of the recently used by setting the maximum number of items to zero. However, I will not add a way to remove the favorites. Sorry.
