How to reproduce:

1) Open a drop-down terminal with $ xfce4-terminal --drop-down
2) Press F11 to make the terminal fill the screen
3) Press F11 again... nothing happens.

If you flood F11 button, sometimes works.

I have been encountering the same issue since xfce4-terminal-0.6.90.

I am also on Gentoo and Xfce 4.12.

Lara, Christian,
Is the normal (non-dropdown) terminal window working fine for you in terms of fullscreen?

Yes, normal terminal is working fine.

On drop-down terminal, after pressing F11, if I hide and show the terminal, it returns to normal size. I think this may help.

Same here. Cannot reproduce for normal terminal mode.

Can confirm this bug, too.

I also have keyboard shortcut on Alt+F for fullscreen. When i use this on the dropdown terminal, it just disappears exactly as in my bug if i press Alt+Tab (https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12917).

Alt+F *does* work correctly in the non-dropdown terminal

Is fullscreen/unfullscreen working better if using menu action instead of F11 shortcut?

Yes! Works fine with menu action.

Using F11 should be fixed by https://git.xfce.org/apps/xfce4-terminal/commit/?id=0d40940f878c843231230ab20c94fe436289d50d, could you please check?

I applied the patch on top of 0.8.0 and recompiled. Looks good so far. That seems to fix it.

Thanks for the update! Closing this one then.

However, there are still glitches with the fullscreen mode: when hiding it in fullscreen mode and then showing in fullscreen, and then un-fullscreening it... I will be looking into it and probably making some changes until it becomes all plain and clean.
