Hi. As described in https://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?id=10916, my notebook goes into hibernation twice: the first time when I run 'xfce4-session-logout --hibernate' and the second time immediately after wake up. In the same time 'pm-hibernate' works as it should.
In addition to what has been said in the thread, I just reinstalled os from scratch and behavior remain.
I have exactly the same config on my stationary PC, and there is no such a problem.

System: Gentoo, Lenovo Thinkpad r61i.

Commands:

dbus-send --print-reply \
            --system \
            --dest=org.freedesktop.UPower \
            /org/freedesktop/UPower \
            org.freedesktop.UPower.Hibernate

and

dbus-send --print-reply \
            --system \
            --dest=org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit \
            /org/freedesktop/ConsoleKit/Manager \
            org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit.Manager.Hibernate boolean:true

working as they should.

I switched to systemd and now everything is fine. I think problem is with my specific hardware, so if anyone has the same problem (or knows the solution) please reopen this case.

I have exactly the same problem on Gentoo.
Are you sure switching to systemd solves it? Have you tried hibernating while the ram usage is high? For me this always triggers the issue.
