Description Moritz Heiber editbugs 2005-12-19 20:40:26 CET
When you select and focus a panel launcher's submenu and the panel itself is set
to autohide it hides after you focus the submenu.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select a submenu from any launcher of the panel
2. Focus the submenu by dragging your mouse over it
3. Watch the panel hide away leaving the menu behind

Actual Results:
The panel is in autohide-mode and there's a box left behind with the launcher's
menu in it (like a detached menu)

Expected Results:
The panel is supposed to stay visable as long as the submenu is opened. Once the
menu is closed it may reevaluate its hide-or-not state.

This bugreport has proven to be correct using the latest panel from the
subversion repository at 21:39 on the 19th of december 2005.

Just a quick followup:

1) Bring up the autohidden panel and select a submenu. Go on to hoover over one
item. The panel stays visable as it should.
2) Close the submenu and open another
3) Hoover over a random item => the panel hides away

These steps can be reproduced any time you want to. Once the panel hides again
some sort of timer or switch is reset so that you may spin the cycle once more.

Ok, should be fixed now. Please reopen if it isn't.
