Failed to create a link for the URL Failed to change to directory

Thunar gives me an error when trying to drag and drop images from firefox:

"Failed to create a link for the URL Failed to change to directory 'file:///home/bram' (No such file or directory)."

I can drag and drop files of all kinds from Nemo to Thunar and back again, but trying to do so from a web browser causes this error message. Uninstalling thunar and reinstalling did not help.

I'm also having this issue. Would be nice to see it fixed!

This is very similar to what it's doing on GalliumOs with the default Chromium browser. I can drag and drop from Chromium to a folder on the desktop, but Thunar itself fails the same way.

It works for me with Thunar 1.8.2 and Firefox 63.
Can any of you please confirm if this is still an issue?

Oh, huh. Technically it does, yeah. It now gives me a dialog to create a link when I drag it. But, what about the functionality any other file browser that supports dragging tends to have? That is, downloading the image in what appears to the user as a file transfer window to that destination?

Ah, thank you! Looks like this might be ready to mark solved. I'll open another report about dragging media files to download.
