Tree view doesn't update when reload is performed

RESOLVED: WORKSFORME

Description Jonathan White 2016-07-11 23:26:33 CEST
There are instances when folders are created or destroyed due to running processes (such as a git clone, etc) that are not reflected in the tree view even though they are plainly visible in the main view.

Recommend added the capability for the Reload action (CTRL+R) to also refresh the currently visible tree view (ie iterate the tree's expanded folders and refresh the currently hierarchy).

Further, when an element is collapsed then expanded again, the sub-folders should be refreshed

I cannot reproduce this bug with the curent thunar version (1.8.2)
I cloned a repo via git. The thunar tree-view was updated immediatly.

Meanwhile some tree-view fixes got applied, possibly this fixed the missing refresh.

Please take a try for 1.8.2 and let me know if the problem still exists for you !

Uh, sorry I was wrong about versions. I cannot reproduce it on master ... in 1.8.2 it is not fixed.

Will release 1.8.3 soon to distribute the fix.

1.8.3 and 1.6.16 just got released.

Please check if you can rstill reproduce with one of them.
If so, please feel free to reopen.
