Currently there is no way in any desktop environment that I know of to make a proper graph out of arbitrary user data. It would be useful to do this so that any data source and therefore any collection of data sources can be plotted together.

The aim would be to read in an arbitrary file (preferably in a RAM filesystem for no overhead) at a set interval, and plot accordingly.
