Hier color sets to black and stay effectively grey in the panel. color 3 can not be changed. I'm using GTK+ theme "Ambiance-Blackout-Orange" Ubuntu 15.10 & 16.04 64b session gnome flashback+cairo-dock+xfce panel

By "impossible to change background color of CPU activities" do you mean to change the background color of cpu bars? Currently the color is determined by the selected theme.
