Some windows, such as video players (mpv, etc) tend to dynamically adjust their size depending on content. If such a window is placed close to the border of the screen and then allowed to resize, it will resize into "no man's land" beyond the screen border. It would probably make more sense if the window were to be moved by the window manager in an attempt to keep it contained within the screen.

I had that implemented at some point in the past but that proved very unpractical with things likes expander in gtk+

Hmm, interesting. I'd like to give it a go, which commit removed the implementation?
