Downstream bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1278746 Steps to reproduce: * Right click on xfce4-power-manager panel plugin to get status popup * Go to brightness settings and adjust the slider to 0 * crash. (additionally here at least the display is not off, it's just very dim) Traceback on downstream bug.
Just a ping - I am seeing this with slider to 100% in addition to 0. Display switches off for me though.

Simon, Thanks for the patch. This does seem to fix the issue. I pretty much played ping pong game with the slider and did not see the crash even once ... This was tested on F23 using this build - https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=12682519
Thanks for the swift testing and feedback! I'm closing this issue for now then, please re-open if the bug re-surfaces. Fixed in: http://git.xfce.org/xfce/xfce4-power-manager/commit/?id=83f002a0109f3752f033ab90ec73d13ca37b7b29
