Renaming a file causes crash
Status:
RESOLVED: DUPLICATE

Description sendmethat 2015-11-05 10:19:29 CET
Renaming files in thunar sometimes causes it to crash. The files are renamed successfully, but all instances of thunar are closed.

I was not able to reproduce the scenario.

There is another user who filed a bug report (downstream, Fedora).

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1278743

There are traces attached in the downstream bug report for this issue (which I hope will be useful).

Personally, I was able to reproduce this crash. It's not easy though. I basically tried renaming folder 20 or 25 times before I saw Thunar crash. Whether I can reproduce this again is highly doubtful ... :(

Here's the dmesg I receive when thunar crashes:

thunar[9089]: segfault at 0 ip 00007feeffc3547a sp 00007ffe0f67b138 error 4 in libc-2.19.so[7feeffba5000+19f000]
