Seriously, on a list of options that could be useful this doesn't even make the
first 100, I think.

This would be different if we had RGBA windows and we could make the background
transparent while keeping the icon/label/whatever visible. If someone can show
me how, I'd be interested...

Just because i'd like it myself, i'd made a patch. Maybe usefull if all previous

Add option for enter transparency.

Adds a "enter the panel transparency" and locks the transparency modes when
customizing the panel.
