I got a way out to search in google in whisker menu:
Use this command:

exo-open --launch WebBrowser https://www.google.com/#q=%u

Hope this can be added to mainstream because google search is really useful.

I will consider it, but why not just use the web browser's search field as you will need the web browser anyway? Also, I would default to a privacy conscious search engine like DuckDuckGo instead:

exo-open --launch WebBrowser https://duckduckgo.com/?q=%u
