It seems that Xfce is setting the custom DPI (set in the Xfce fonts config) too late while the session starts.

My screen DPI is : (131, 144)
My configured DPI is : 96

Apps autostarted will randomly use the screen DPI or/and the configured DPI (yeah, some apps will use an hybrid DPI).
Apps started afterwards will use the configured DPI.

Workaround : setting "Xft.dpi: 96" in ~/.Xresources

Could you please test if the problem goes away with xfce4-session 4.13.2?
