When using the Default window manager, I run Manjaro, you repeatedly get this Gdk-CRITICAL **: IA__gdk_gc_get_values: assertion 'GDK_IS_GC (gc)' failed The session continues, but the .xsession-errors file quickly grows and grows. I found that by installing xfwm4-manjaro-netbook 4.12.0-1 The problem is solved. I tried to get a resolution on the Manjaro forum with no luck. I am not sure if this is an Xfce or Manjaro bug since the resolution has the name Manjaro associated with it. If so, I will continue to try and get a resolution from the Manjaro Team.
Could be the theme. What xfwm4 theme do you use? can you try with the default xfwm4 theme? (Settings -> Window Manager)

Ok, I reallly messed uo that description so let me try again. If I use the 'Default' wm theme the error occurs. It doesn't occur with other wm themes. I prefer the 'Default' due to it's ability take on the Themes background color. On a whim I installed the Manjaro Netbook version and it works perfectly. So in conclusion: Default doesn't work Manjaro Netbook version does work. Am I correct now in assuming that it is not a bug in Xfce's sfwm4? If I am correct, then sorry to have confused and bothered you. Regards, Marshall Neill

Nope, quite the contrary, it means that Manjaro have probably messed up with the versions here, because this particular error appears when using xfwm4 4.12 default theme with xfwm4 < 4.12 (in other words, the default xfwm4 theme in 4.12 uses a feature which is not in xfwm4 < 4.10)
