If I run xfdesktop -R -D the result would be black screen covering all my running applications like firefox. Killing xfdesktop brings apps back but removes wallpaper. Would be nice if xfdesktop could be restarted without disturbing whatever is already drawn by apps. Alternative I'd be glad to learn what can I use instead of xfdesktop: all I need is wallpapers (different for each monitor) and right-click menu with apps I could start - no icons or fancy effects necessary.
