When right clicking a file or folder in thunar, the context menu appears after a short delay (which allows the right-click+drag behaviour to work). In xfdesktop, the menu never appears until the right mouse button is released.

My xfdesktop version is 4.12.1, not 4.12.0 as is the latest version listed on the bug tracker.

same with xfdesktop 4.10.3

The right-click-behaviour depends on the view you use.

On "details"- and "compact"-view you no longer are able to "right click"-drag a file and upon button release select "copy/move/link" as the context menu instantly appears.

On "symbols"-view this is not the same behaviour, there you are able to "right click"-drag because it waits a bit of time (150ms or so) until the context menu appears and blocks "dragging".

For me a "instant context menu" is only needed in the case of "dropping files" into the context menu, which is not needed as the "context" is already the selected file(s)... .

Sorry, forgot to mention version info: Thunar 1.6.7, 64bit (on Linux Mint). Think in prior releases the right-click worked as expected (as I created some symbolic links this way)
