Shift+drag into a directory crashes thunar (segfault)
Status:
RESOLVED: FIXED

Description Geoffrey De Belie 2015-04-17 19:24:58 CEST
Tested using NTFS and Ext4 partitions, both have the same problem. Launched Thunar in the Terminal. This is the crash:

(thunar:10879): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion 'object->ref_count > 0' failed
Segmentatiefout (geheugendump gemaakt)

Which translates as Segmentation fault (made memory dump)

Steps to reproduce (doesn't happen all the time, keep trying :P)
1) Open Thunar
2) Shift+drag a file
3) Thunar should crash (almost) immediately, but the file is moved correctly

If nothing happens, try again.

I'm not sure. The bugs could be related (timing issue), but there is no segfault in the other bug, which is required in order to be a duplicate.

There are segfaults in the other bug too, caused by the very first patch that needs to be reverted.

Please try the patches from the other bug report or better from here: http://git.xfce.org/users/hjudt/thunar/log/?h=fix-bug-11008

Then reopen this bug report if it is not fixed.
