Pulseaudio can amplify the volume level beyond the regular 100% level. This may introduce distortion in some cases, but is nevertheless an useful feature.

Currently, one has to open pavucontrol to be able to do this. It would be nice if the panel plugin had an option to allow for this aswell.

Ideally, an user should not be able to go beyond 100% when using the mousewheel or volume keys. I think only when the user left-clicks on the panel button, should there be a slider that allows a volume >100%. Something like this maybe: http://i.imgur.com/qGt7hsA.png

Added in git master cd06756.

Thanks for implementing this. I've tested the patchset.

Turns out that you can now also go above 100% with the mousewheel and volume keys. That's problematic. Volumes above 100% should be an exception, not accessible when blindly using those two methods. I think a lot of people will not like this behavior.

Could this be modified? Thanks!
