Created attachment 6133 Tnumbnail preview for the tasklist buttons in KDE4 Request: Thumbnail preview for tasklist buttons like in Compiz or KDE4. See the attachment.
I think it would be useful to have this feature too, a thumbnail preview when hoovering on a Window Button, as doable with dockbarx and compiz. But would it be so hard to achieve that on xfwm4? I notice that xfwm4 compositor already manages previews (like in Alt+Tab cycling) Maybe it is possible to make some integration between Xfwm4 AlT+Tab Cicling and a panel plugin like Window Buttons or another similar, (so to leave classic Window Buttons for those who want it like it is.) Imagine this too: a thumbnail preview when cycling, not displayed at the center of the screen as it does now but just next to (below, above, to the right or to the left, depending on where the panel is placed) the corresponding button at the panel. Just to give ideas. In general i think the main window cycling needs some kind of improvement, a "turn of the screw" (una vueta de tuerca, as we say in spanish), but I should talk about that in other place.
I also think that the implementation of this function will add significantly convenience of switching between application instances.
This isn't easily doable with the underlying libraries. Please consider using KDE4 or Compiz if this feature is important to you.

Nice :) Maybe you wanna push that as a merge request to Gitlab so I can review the code?
