Could you enable the bulk-renamer, which I use all the time, to remember its window size and column size? Also, could you make it possible to perform more than one operation on the selected files without having to relaunch the renamer?

I rename files with long, complex names frequently and I sometimes require several passes to massage the names into an acceptable result. Having to maximize the dialog, resize the columns, perform an operation, then repeat the entire sequence as many as 6 times becomes fatiguing.

It works well, just minor improvements to make it excellent. This plugin is one of the reasons I love Thunar so much.

Aloha!

Thanks for reporting !

I agree that it would be nice to remember window/column size of the renamer as xfconf setting, like it is done for thunar itself.

And I agree that it would be nice to have a xfconf setting "close after rename".
This almost seems to work when starting the renamer directly via "thunar -B" .. however on the second rename, some crash seems to occur .. to be debugged

I dont have time to work on that, so please, if you can, patches would be very welcome !

I wrote this just over 5 years ago.

I haven't become a programmer in the interim, sorry! :D

I'd be glad to donate some $ somewhere, if there is a way.

If no can, no can. Thanks for responding.

Aloha.

Haha .. sorry for that very late reply! You filed that bug at a time when thunar had no maintainer.

Somebody new subscribed to your bug, that's why it popped up on my RSS feed .. I did not realize that it is already 5 years old :P

Theoretically you can put a bounty on a bug via bountysource:
https://www.bountysource.com/teams/xfce

Practically that site today is so slow, that I fail to find the bountysource page for this bug :/ .. the search as well seem to be not very smart ... hope thats just a temporal problem.

Perhaps just a general XFCE donation somewhere?

Even if I don't get my request, I still love XFCE.

Aloha.

Oh, and thank you for [i]thunar -B[i], I wasn't aware of it.

Just tried it and it didn't crash for me on a couple of quick tests.

Thanks again for all you guys do.

Aloha.

Yes, it's as well possible to donate to the whole project:
https://salt.bountysource.com/checkout/amount?team=xfce

.. though I like the idea to put money on specifc bugs :/ ... hope that will get better once we moved our bugs to gitlab.

You are welcome ! Interesting, it looks like that crash is much better reproducable on the branch I currently work at. I only suceedeed once to reproduce it on master. Have to look into that.
