Created attachment 6023 Custom menu file With a custom menu file (see the attachment) a placeholder "No applications found" gets added to the application menu. This makes no sense because I explicitly want to choose what entries are shown. The menu file can be set in the application menu properties. This occurs with xfce4-panel 4.12 and is caused by garcon.

The attached patch for garcon fixes the issue. I see no point for adding a disabled menu item so I just removed it.
