Basically I'm looking to customize the layout of desktop workspaces. It seems the only available option is one row of four desktops. I'd like to be able to have a 2x2 block of workspaces. It'd also be nice to be able to customize the shortcut key(s) for switching workspaces. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
This is done via the preferences for the graphical pager on the panel. This is a WM feature, btw, not xfdesktop.
I wouldn't mark this invalid just yet, since this ability does not exist in the taskbar pager.
No, not the taskbar pager. The panel's "Graphical Pager". I'm going to reassign this to the WM, since this is really a WM feature. We might want to add this as a WM settings option rather than in a panel plugin. I'd rather let Olivier deal with this ^_^.
Roger that. I understood what you said about the panel's pager doing so. I tried it and found that it is possible (didn't know that!), though I keep my pager in the taskbar. It seems only reasonable that the functionality should be consistent. Thanks.
That's really not a WM feature since xfwm4 already supports different desktops layouts. It's the pager.
The pager does support multiple rows... Closing this as 'fixed'...
