So the screenshots where you right click on the desktop look like the icon displays properly, correct? If so, then xfdesktop is at least doing it right. You may be hitting the garcon bug, https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10709
(In reply to Eric Koegel from comment #6) > So the screenshots where you right click on the desktop look like the icon > displays properly, correct? Yes. Clicking on desktop is fine. For clarity... eclipse.desktop is local. I wrote for own use and preference. isomaster.desktop is include with distribution. > > You may be hitting the garcon bug, > https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10709 Wasn't aware of this bug. I had searched for same/similar issues to no avail. Read through comments but nothing jumped out at me as being similar. Mentioned bug talks about icon mime-type/extension issues? I think the focus of this bug is that system menu desktop files with icon paths NOT in /usr/share/icons are not displayed. Or I missed something. Always possible.
Hi, I can't reproduce the bug with a recent version of garcon (0.6.1 here). Do you still reproduce the issue ?
After almost four years, I do not believe I can reproduce bug. The original problem cited does not appear any longer and I can't remember exactly when the issue disappeared.
Thank you for your answer. Closing the bug, please reopen if the problem still exists.
