Change the font of xfce4 for terminus
It well crash your xfce4-panel and terminator (console application) and probably a bunch of more
System Manjaro 0.8.10 x86_64 tested only on Manjaro
I dont know if this bug affects xfce4 on all distributions :)

Changing the standard font in xfce4-appearance-settings -> fonts tab to Times crashes 80% of the programs I was running at the time, even xfce panel and console which makes it impossible to change it back using the GUI
Had to use Ctrl+Alt+F1 and change vim ~/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xsettings.xml
    <property name="FontName" type="string" value="Sans 10"/>
A normal user would have to reinstall the system. Therefore this shouldn't happen!
Please somehow check if a font is known to crash programs or somewhat ...
This may be related to
    cairo-scaled-font.c:459: _cairo_scaled_glyph_page_destroy: Assertion `!scaled_font->cache_frozen' failed.
I actually tried to change the font to solve that problem, but I think it could have triggered the problem in every other program as well.

This is certainly not a bug in the panel. In general I'm not sure what this report is abuot.
