My biggest feature request for XFCE is the ability to add plugins to menus.
Right now, a "menu" is a subset of a launcher on the panel, and only other
launchers can be added. I would like a menu to instead be a sub-panel, where
one can add launchers or any other type of panel plugin.

An example that I would use this for would be, for my Gentoo system, I would use
two-state launchers for a lot of my system services (via initscripts). I would
like to have a menu for this, so I don't need to dedicate room on my panel for a
dozen huge two-state launchers.

I feel it would be a great architecture improvement if the menu became a part of
the panel, and not just part of a launcher where you can just put more launchers.

IIRC, this was discussed on the ML and rejected for complexity reasons. Jasper,
feel free to reopen if you think it's still an open issue... I'm just trying to
clean up Bugzilla a bit.
