Quick question, does resizing the dialog resolve the issue? (It's possible that this is a bug in Gtk2 itself.)

Maximizing the dialog makes the label readable, but upon reverting the dialog to its original size makes it unreadable (overlapped) once again since
+1 to previous comment - this is what I see here too.
I see no easy way to fix this, except shortening the "Put system to sleep when inactive for" label to e.g. "When inactive for". IMHO, this would be the ideal solution anyway.
