When I enable twinview (clone) mode in my XF86Config-4 and restart X, then the default xfce wallpaper is showed instad of my custum selected wallpaper, that I have specifyed in settings / desktop / image. If I go into settigs / desktop and then click on show image twice (disable and then reenable wallpaper) my custum selected wallpaper then shows up. Sorry, need a bit more information. 1) Did you set the backdrop image before or after emabling TwinView? 2) Does TwinView act like xinerama mode, in that it combines the monitors into a single screen, or does it act like multiple screens? This bug doesn't really make sense to me. I've heard of others using TwinView with no problems before.
1) I did set the backdrop image before enabling twinview. And it shows correct up again when i disable twinview. 2) I'm useing twinview in clone mode. So it's the same that's displayed on both connected monitors (crt,tv) I belive it is releated to the clone TwinViewOrientation. If I set TwinViewOrientation to RightOf, the backdrop image shows up, but if I set TwinViewOrientation to Clone the default backdrop image shows up.

Hmm, not sure why this would make a difference. After you set it once with TwinView enabled (clone mode), and then log out and back in (while leaving TwinView enabled as is), does it display properly?

I entered settings, Desktop, Disabled and then enable the backdrop image in order to get it displayed on the background again. I then log out of my current session, with save session enabled. When I login again it's still the default xfce backdrop image that's displayed.
Ok. Could you attach three things: 1) A copy of ~/.config/xfce4/mcs_settings/desktop.xml right after starting a session (when the incorrect backdrop is shown). 2) A copy of the above, after getting the backdrop to display correctly. 3) Output of 'xdpyinfo' when X is running with TwinView in clone mode. Also, check ~/.xsession-errors for any messages that might be relevant, and paste them here.

Hi brian :) yes, I have twinview. But I dont have a tv since I moved over to Linz. So I'd have to borrow one from a co-worker or go to his place or something ... Which would be no problem, just tell me when you got some debugging cases ready which I could try :) As for me having a clue what's happening right now with the info I have, no, sorry... no clue. It seems to only happen with "Clone" Twinview, right ? Clnoe twinview is kind of weird because it displays the same desktop on both the tv and the monitor. However, on the monitor it has a _way_ higher resolution. Try finding out if it messes with the resolutions/screen size in gdk ...
Is this bug still present in 4.4beta2?
Your config shows that you have an image set both for screen/monitor 0 and screen/monitor 1. Did you ever set it up without clone mode so you had two distinct screens? If not, I think this is just an oddity with TwinView, so I don't think I'll be able to fix this.
I use TwinView and xfdesktop without this issue... since the reporter is long gone, I'd go ahead and close it.
