Hello,

This plugin looks pretty useful. However, I don't like the association of languages with countries. This seems to be something inherited from the X keyboard layouts, but it would be nice if this association could be optionally hidden in this plugin. What I mean is that I want to switch between Arabic and English, and would rather if the languages were indicated as:
ar (for arabic)
en (for english)

Right now ar is arabic, but my US-English keyboard layout shows "us" which is not really acceptable for me since I am Canadian. I don't think I would prefer "ca" much better.

Also, the arabic keyboard language shows an Argentinian flag when flags are turned on.

I appreciate the pain of having to use the US layout while living in Canada :p You're quite right though that this is inherited from XKB layout rules so, unfortunately, this is not easy to change. The version of xkb plugin that ships with xfce 4.12 will have somewhat nicer tooltips that will say "English (US)" instead of just "us" but that's about all that I can promise in this regards. If you're aware of some reasonably standard way to map country names to XKB layouts, I may try to look into that; if enough other people are interested in this, I may just add a way to overwrite the flags/layout names for display purposes.

Regarding Argentinian flag for arabic layout - what option are you picking for this and what does "setxkbmap -query" say? Arabic layout name is "ara", not "ar" on my system; in fact, there is no "ar" layout at all.
