It is not possible to drag and drop a file between different virtual desktops. For example dragging an mp3 from Thunar to Vlc's playlist is not possible if they are on different desktops. I've tested it with the 2 boxes checked in xfce/xfwm4/preferences/Advanced/Wrap workspaces. http://docs.xfce.org/xfce/xfwm4/preferences
