Mousing over the Thunar File->CreateDocument menu hangs X. MagicSysReq doesn't work. A hard reset is required.

Thunar v1.6.3, xfce v4.10

Adding comments here because experimenting triggered the bug! 

It seems that if I delete $XDG_TEMPLATES_DIR then the bug is triggered immediately I open the Thunar File->CreateDocument menu. If the directory exists but is empty then the first mouse-over and creation of an empty document will work but X will hang the second time.

Is this crash still reproducible with the current stable release of Thunar?

No. I am using Thunar 1.6.4 (part of xfce4 and up-to-date F21:
Linux 3.18.8-201.fc21.x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux). I believe the problem occurred because one of the directories defined in /etc/xdg/user-dirs.defaults was missing.
