Thunar crashes retrieving camera contents
Status:
RESOLVED: WORKSFORME

Description Christopher Yeleighton 2014-06-03 06:51:12 CEST
Thunar reliably crashes retrieving camera contents failing assertion (file->basename), except that assertions are apparently off so it crashes in the next instruction (strcmp). The camera is Canon PowerShot A640 connected via USB. Shotwell retrieves the camera contents all right.

Thanks for reporting and sorry for the very late reply.

If you still can reproduce the bug with the current thunar, it would be nice to have a full backtrace, since the assertion (file->basename) is done at many locations.

Requires issue libgphoto2 #408 <URL: https://github.com/gphoto/libgphoto2/issues/408 >.

So the crash is caused by libgphoto2, and not by thunar directly ?

A virtual camera is needed to re-test.
