I am not certain this is a bug or feature request. I have a dual monitor system and each monitor shows a different background. Each selects from the same list of several hundred pictures. It changes every 2 hours. I will run across a picture I haven't seen in a long time, and would like to know the filename so I can do something with it. As far as I have been able to tell there is no way to do this. Would it be possible for xfdesktop to display the name of the file it is currently using for the background image?

Thanks,
John

While this is currently (version 4.12) still the case, there is a work around.

Wallpaper settings, including the current wallpaper are in the file:
~/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xfce4-desktop.xml
