With xfdesktop version 4.10.2, when the current image list contains an empty line, xfdesktop will hang on startup with 100% CPU load on one core. Steps to reproduce: * Select background images to be displayed from a list * Insert an empty line into the list file (either in the middle or at the end, doesn't matter) * Try to start xfdesktop, it will not Since it's possible that someone might manually edit an image list and a newline at the end of the file gets added, I think this bug is kind of serious, especially because it's not obvious what is the cause of the problem (no error message generated).
Created attachment 5725 Fix for extra blank lines in backdrop list Hey this should fix the bug, looking to do a new stable release soon which will include it.
