It would be nice if xfce4-session-logout had command line options for shutdown / restart / logout without user confirmation. Usecase: Time-controlled shutdown (listenting to music with the PC) I know the "disable logout dialog" option, but I like the logout dialog as interactive user, it's only useful to get rid of in scripting. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
This isn't possible without major modifications, since the XSMP is pretty limited here. I'm currently waiting for the GNOME people to finish their D-BUS based session management extensions, and if that looks useful in the end, we'll try to adopt it (maybe as part of a fd.o standard).

Any news on this?
xfce4-session-logout has CLi options, shutdown and reboot do not work at the moment hwich is tracked in bug #5032. Ali may have found the cause of this issue. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 5032 ***
Marking as FIXED instead.
