Xinerama and maximizing windows

Description Ron 2005-07-10 07:37:03 CEST
If i have a window maximized on one screen, and then I move it over to the other
and attempt to maximize it for that screen (unmaximize and remaximize) the doing
the unmaximization brings it back to the original screen. I'm not sure if there
is a "better" way i should be doing this, or what.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Maximize a window on one screen
2. Drag it to the other screen
3. Unmaximize it

Actual Results:
The window moves back to the original screen.

Expected Results:
It should stay where it is.

Odd, because as soon as you move a window, it automatically unmaximied. Hoiw can
you move a window and then unmaximize it with Xfce?

Are you using SVN head maybe?
Comment 3 Ron 2005-07-10 21:12:36 CEST
No, i'm using regular 4.2.2 and when I have a windows maximized and just move it
around it doesn't get unmaximized.

Ah, yes, that's the way it works in 4.2.... It has been asked to be like that
IIRC on the ML or in bugzilla, not sure.

This is addressed in xfwm 4.3, I don't see the need to backport that in 4.2
