When I use a copied name of a folder as the filename for a new file, the new file is then shown as folder not as a plain text file.

This bug is like Bug 8155.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new folder named test.
2. Copy folders name (press F2).
3. Remove the created folder.
4. Create a new File: File -> Create new document -> empty document.
5. Paste the copied folder name as the filename.
6. Now the created file is shown as folder (and Thunar opens it like a folder).
