Created attachment 5260 PNG screenshot of the brackets in question. Greetings, I request a feature to disable the brackets on the 'Window Buttons' in the panel. The brackets appear around the text when that window is minimized. The method to disable the brackets could be in either a configuration file or the Window Buttons settings. The brackets are not necessary for most desktop themes and, personally, I think they are ugly. Thank you, HighBomber

Created attachment 7239 Allow to hide label decorations in tasklist A new patch which also applies an opacity to labels for minimized windows.
Having to restart the panel or un/minimize applications is not ideal, I would expect the setting to take effect immediately.
Created attachment 7310 tasklist: Allow to hide label decorations I agree. Fixed it.
