I often notice that selection and focus (or cursor) are out of sync, and this can be confusing (especially if "always select today" is enabled). I often find myself wondering which day is displayed in the quick-thingy: the selected one or the focused one (the one with the dotted rectangle around it). Would it be possible to ensure that selection and focus are always synced?

There does not seem to be a way to control focus before gtk 3.0. I believe this gtk_calendar focus issue is considered a bug, but will be fixed in gtk 3 only. Not much I can do for this annoying thing.
