In Xfce 4.10 I set 'opera' in my preferred apps, but when I choose Help > Help in Orage, the Firefox will be called. I think this is a bug and that exo-open should be used instead.

That's strange: I tested 4.9.8.0, and now Help always gets displayed in Midori. :) I checked and I have Opera in the Preferred Apps. Do you see this?

PS I now set up an Ubuntu PPA for daily builds of latest Orage GIT code: https://code.launchpad.net/~landronimirc/+archive/xfce-daily . It should be useful for testing.

Works for me.
I just changed exo-preferred-applications to be midori and help started to be shown in midori. Before that it started chromium.

Does it work from command line?
I just start command:
exo-open "file://usr/local/xfce_4.10.0/share/orage/doc/C/orage.html"

or

exo-open /usr/local/xfce_4.10.0/share/orage/doc/C/orage.html

your orage.html may be in different place of cource.

exo-open -V
exo-open 0.3.101

$ exo-open -V
exo-open 0.10.2

It must be some issue with local exo-open then.

$ exo-open /usr/share/orage/doc/C/orage.html

fires up Midori (as Orage does), even though Opera is selected in Prefs. So false alarm.
