In my understanding of --help, 1 and 2 should do the same: 1) /usr/bin/xfmedia-remote --play --playlist-add=/path/to/file 2) /usr/bin/xfmedia-remote -p --playlist-add=/path/to/file But they don't, at least not here. Am I wrong? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Fixed. I missed a colon in the short option string, so '-p' was interpreted as requiring an argument, while --play has an optional argument.
