No, not even with MPlayer, for some reason.

You're clearly lacking a codec, this is not a bug, but can be solved by installing the package gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg (at least that's the debian/ubuntu package name). Then the stream should work for you – at least it plays fine for me here...

I think mms://scry.dubuque.k12.ia.us:1755 was offline or there was a problem at my end.  I can play this stream with MPlayer and Parole.
