A Debian user reported that when using the toolbar-style location selector and changing the view mode (Icon/Compact List/Detailed List), the history is lost.

This is confirmed even with Pathbar-style location selector.

Confirmed:
1. Navigate to someplace.
2. Press <C-1><C-2>.
3. 'Go to the previous folder' and 'Go to the next folder' buttons are greyed out.
