Created attachment 5005 Patch file. This feature is found in numerous other editors and should be here as well. Very simple change, will be my first. Also, another feature to implement is not to strip the current line's trailing as you probably don't want that.
Created attachment 5089 Revised patch file Removed the option from text -> convert as it is fairly useless.
The patch works fine and I vote for this feature to be merged(patch still needs to be reviewed).
