Another enhanchment inspired from fvwm. Allow menu items to define a test, which decides if the item is shown or not. This would for example allow to create one big menu file, which is used on several computers and only the installed programms are shown.
The menu system is going to be replaced with a freedesktop.org menu spec-compliant menu system. This doesn't seem like the kind of thing that would fit into that kind of architecture.
