When an application copied something to the clipboard and you close the application afterwards, it takes a couple of seconds to close the application. This is somehow caused by the clipboard manager, because if I disable it in xfsettingsd, the problem disappears.

This triggers all sorts of random problems, like weird behavior of exiting terminals, and long delays when quiting apps in a terminal (ie. everywhere, but that is where you'll notice to problem).

Hi Nick,

I'm reopening this bug since xfsettingsd is gonna be fixed aside the clipman plugin.

Cheers
Mike

Fixed in master. Doesn't work in some apps because they do not implement the spec properly, see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ClipboardPersistence

The clipboard has been merged in the 4.8 branch too.

xfce4-settings-4.8.2 contains the gsd clipboard that should resolve this bug.
