I run Emulator Terminal under kde 4.2.2(before kde 4.2.1 with the same bug).

When I open tabs and close one, shortcut to access to this tab(the closed tab) is disabled until I load a new terminal in another window.

   How to reproduce:
Having Alt+1, Alt+2,... as shortcuts to move to tab 1, tab 2,...
Then open 3 tabs (Ctrl+shift+T three times).
Move to tab 2(Alt+2) and type "exit" to close it. Then you're in tab 3 but now it's tab 2.
      Move to tab 1 (Alt+1)
      Move to tab 2 (Alt+2)
      Move to tab 1(Alt+1) again
Try to move to tab 2 with alt+2 , you can't (you can with shift+left/right).

I tried the same but closing the tab with Ctrl+shift+w and closing with the mouse, and has the same problem.

Thanks!
