difficult to see what is mounted, unmounted with the UUID ref :(
take a look a that .

Thanks, I am gonna take care of that in the next weeks, although I do really not recommend to use UUIDs, the behaviour is very imprecise when you copy hard disks,remove disks etc (few days ago had lots of trouble myself only because of UUIDs).

My first approach is to give UUID=...last4digits, would that be OK?

Hi, i use mandriva 2009.1 cooker, and UUID are by default .
i think is a bad idea :( i don't like this .
your idea for the last 4 digits is good, or if we can have a choice, no UUID at all, in the configuration with a check box?

There you go, it's in SVN but without any option to enable or diable it; it simply shortens them. Hope that's fine for now.
