Build Identifier: X server crashes when clicking "Cancel" during multi-volume extract

With Xorg 7.3 and gtk 2.14.7

While extracting a multi-volume RAR archive , each time I try to click
"Cancel" : the X server crashes.

This happens only when Xarchiver is launched from Thunar plugin.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. from Thunar : "Extract to" on multi-volume RAR archive
2. click "Cancel"
Actual Results:
X crashed, all unsaved work lost

Expected Results:
Extract canceled

What I did when trying to run gdb : login in a Linux console (Alt-F2) , then export DISPLAY, then run "xarchiver -e foo.part1.rar" from cli, then back to X (Alt-F7), enter RAR password in the GUI.... then I click "Cancel" : no bug :(

After this attempt I tried again from Thunar "Extract to" , then I clicked "Cancel" -> X CRASHED.

This happens to me too (I only tried creating archives through the Thunar rightclick-on-file plugin).

Archlinux, 2.6.30-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT, xorg-server 1.6.3-2, gtk2 2.16.5-1, local/thunar 1.0.1-4, thunar-archive-plugin 0.2.4-5

Seeing how this bug is pretty old already, is there anything we can do to help you finding it? I am using a trashmail account but will monitor this site for comments.

Hi,
I apologize for repling late, I'm very busy in developing Imagination. Thank you for your kind assistance. What I need is a backtrace of the crash, I think it must be a way to have it in the console (CTRL+ALT+F1) rather then under X. That backtrace would help me a lot! On September when Imagination 2.0 will be released I will start rewriting most of the Xarchiver code from scratch; any help is greatly appreciated.

The same happens for me (Archlinux, i686) when press the 'cancel' button during packing any archive. Xarchiver was launched from Thunar's context menu.

Xarchiver is no longer hosted on the xfce repos - it's now at http://xarchiver.sourceforge.net/
If this bug is still valid, please file it there.
