Description Marek W. Lugowski 2008-06-26 02:26:53 CEST
I am aware that earlier bugs were filed and handled for
the window menu (and windowlist memu), as well as including a
customizable launcher (the bugs don't have dates, so it's hard to
say when this was proposed/assigned).

I am using the Xfce for the first time and generally like it, having
just installed Debian Lenny over the modem (without ISO disks) on WallStr,eet G3 Series Powerbook (1998, oldworld mac). In general this is a very sensible, lightweight and pleasing solution for this ancient platform; however, there are no easy ways to take snapshots of the Terminal contents via menu or shortcut, or even invoke the Xfce desktop menu (which contains a Run.. launcher) when the the Terminal window is maximized. I was surprrised not to find a way to add any shortcuts within the Preferences, beyond the stated rather ornamental set. The manual did not reveal a power-user configurable addition of other program launching through the mentioned hidden configuration file, either. This is a real need and a glaring limitation. Aside from making a customizable way to launch other programs in maximized Terminal, adding a simple way to snap the picture of its content to the configurable Toolbar (or even default Toolbar) makes sense.
